    Hi, there are TIR 15-10-5 minutes or TIR 20-20-10 minutes, in the 18wks marathon training of the Dr. Daniels’ book. What’s the training purpose? For T, I, R or just speed training? Thank you.

    Great question. We see athletes gain big benefits when combining different training types into one workout. It’s a chance to improve all three in one workout, it allows you to work on VO2max and economy when your body is tired, which is great training and it’s always nice to run progressively in a workout starting slower and finishing faster as the workout goes on.
